2023 Renewal Changes

As most of you may have heard there is a change in the number of hours you are required to obtain for your 2023 Renewal with the Cosmetology Board/LLR.  Here is what you need to know...

Registered Cosmetologists (RC), Nail Technicians (NT), Estheticians (ES) need a total of FOUR CE hours every two years.   You will need a total of 4 hours of Safety & Sanitation to renew in 2023.  You can get this 4 hours either online OR in-person.   You need to complete your hours in a LLR/State Board approved course, as usual. 

Instructors also need FOUR CE hours every two years.  This 4 hours of CE must relate to teaching methods. You can get this 4 hours either online OR in-person.   You need to complete your hours in a LLR/State Board approved course, as usual. 

If you have not successfully renewed your 2021 licensed (lapsed) you are required to renew that license under the previous regulations of 12 hour every two years.  After your 2021 renewal/reinstatement is completed successfully then the NEW rules will apply for 2023.
