CEU Processing Details

How are my CEU hours processed? What to expect...

After you complete a class your CEU hours are sent to USC for processing.  USC allows ACSP (and other online course providers) to submit online course completions once a week and we submit your hours to them each Monday for anything completed the previous week.  (During non-renewal times where timing is not as crucial we may submit to USC every two weeks.). Upon receipt, USC has up to 5 business days to process your hours.  USC will then mail a certificate out to you at whatever address you put on your VOA or included during your online course registration.  After processing, USC exports your hours directly to LLR. We generally suggest giving it 3 weeks from the completion of your class to see your hours on the LLR website.

General questions about what you need for Renewal? Click here

Didn’t get a certificate? Call USC at 803-777-9440 or request a duplicate here

Specific questions about your license renewal? Visit the SC State Board of Cosmetology website or call them at 803-896-4588

My hours aren't at LLR, what do I do?

If your hours aren't showing at LLR and it has been 3 weeks here is what we suggest. 1) If you have received your certificate from USC then you can upload the certificate to your account at LLR and proceed with your renewal.  2) If you haven't received your certificate you can wait a little longer to get it or contact USC at 803.777.9440 to verify when/where it was mailed. The only certificate accepted by LLR is the one from USC.  ACSP cannot provide a certificate of completion.

During renewal times you should take your class early and LLR encourages everyone to renew online.  However, if you take your class too close to the March deadline or your recently completed hours aren't yet showing when you log into LLR you will need to renew by mail.    We suggest mailing this form so you can track it and trying to get it to state board by March 10th to avoid late fees and a lapsed license.  Contact the State Board at 803-896-4588 with any questions related to the renewal process!

What ACSP CAN do...

We can confirm when your hours were sent to USC and we can sometimes let you know if USC has processed your hours, Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the system where USC transmits your hours to LLR so ACSP can’t see where things are in the process or what has happened.
